Voices from Bridgefoot Street Park

Bridgefoot Street Park is an innovative public space designed by award winning landscape architects, DFLA, in collaboration with the local community and Dublin City Council. The park’s design explores themes of incongruity, chronology, craft, imperfection and ecology. Wildflowers are welcomed and coexist beside cultivated planting. The community gardeners of Taplin’s Fields grow food and nurture community while observing and encouraging natural biodiversity.

We created Voices of Bridgefoot Street Park for DFLA’s presentation at the 13th Barcelona International Landscape Biennal in November 2025. The theme of the conference was ‘natural intelligence’. The short film uses camera and drone footage shot at various times from 2021 to 2025, audio interviews with the gardeners at Taplin’s Fields, ambient sound from the Park and the Liberties, and snippets of video shot during the construction phase of the project.

Cooper’s Cross

Exploring the colours and textures of the fine art printing process at Stoney Road Press, this is one part  of a video series documenting the creation and installation of site specific artwork at Cooper’s Cross mixed-use campus in Dublin’s Docklands. You can view the other videos in this series here

Each video in the series shows the craftspeople and creative processes involved in creating the artworks, as well as the visual and tactile qualities of the final installations. Working in collaboration with Begley Hutton Design Consultants we tailored the aesthetics and branding to complement the client’s website and visual media. The video was shot using fixed and moving cameras as well as drone footage. Music was chosen to harmonise with the unique pace and visual content of each individual video, but all four pieces share tonal and compositional similarities to create a cohesive auditory experience.

A Victorian Garden

This contemporary garden by KHS Landscapes draws together an elegantly refurbished Victorian home with a stunning contemporary extension.

The video captures the light, texture and movement through the landscaped areas, as well showing views and transitions through interior and exterior spaces.

Ward River Cascades Restoration

In a woodland filled with the birdsong and gurgling streams, the sound of a stonemason’s hammer rings out through the trees. Hidden away in a suburban parkland, a team led by award winning landscape architects DFLA are painstakingly restoring a unique early 18th century folly.

In this video we created aural texture using ambient sounds from the construction site and the surrounding woodland. Selected drone shots give a sense of the scale and setting of the site, but the video is shot primarily using a static camera on a tripod to emphasise the measured pace of movement of the stonemasons’ work and the flow of nature all around.
